What is Packola?
Packola is a travel companion that bundles weather, local intel and a personalized packing list into one app. You pick a place, tell us what you'll be doing, and we tailor the trip plan to you — no guidebooks, no spreadsheets, no overpacking.
Is it free?
Packola is free to download, and there are no ads. The free plan covers three destination searches a month and up to three saved trips — enough for a trip or two a year. Packola Pro is an optional monthly or yearly subscription that lifts those limits. You never lose access to trips you've already planned.
Does it work offline?
Saved trips, your packing list and local intel are cached on-device, so you can open them on a plane or in a tunnel. Live weather refreshes when you're online — we use the last known forecast otherwise, clearly labeled.
How accurate is the weather?
We cross-check four providers — Apple WeatherKit, WeatherAPI, OpenWeatherMap and Visual Crossing — and surface the consensus. For trips beyond the 14-day forecast window, we fall back to historical climate data so you can still pack with confidence.
What activities can I plan for?
Street food, fine dining, beach, culture, bar, adventure, hiking, winter sports, spa, nature, shopping, photography, cycling, diving, camping, fitness — and a few more. Mix and match; Packola tailors the list to whatever you pick.
Which cities are supported?
Thousands worldwide — major cities and a long tail of small towns. Weather works anywhere on the planet. Local intel is densest in Europe, North America and major Asia-Pacific destinations, and we're adding more every release.
What data does Packola collect?
We collect your email address (to create your account), travel data like destination, dates, activities and packing lists (to make the app work), anonymous city searches (to improve trending suggestions), and crash reports via Sentry. We never sell your data to third parties. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
Is Packola GDPR compliant?
Yes. The database is located in the EU and complies with GDPR. Under GDPR you have the right to request a copy of your data, correct inaccurate data, delete your account and all data, and export your data in a machine-readable format. Send requests to privacy@packola.app — we respond within 30 days.
How do I delete my account?
Open Packola, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account and confirm. This permanently deletes your account and all your trips and cannot be undone. If you no longer have access to the app, email privacy@packola.app and we'll handle it within 30 days.
